e-Class Uber-Performance Architectural Loudspeakers

Finally, Audio for the 4K generation

In today’s video landscape HD is yesterday’s news. While 4K video is the new standard,
audio has been largely stagnant.
Until now…

VUE’s e-Class is what happens when engineers stop looking at their competition for inspiration and instead focus on the unique challenges that integrators face in today’s rapidly expanding 4K landscape.

e-Class: Designed to Be Disruptive
“You can’t engineer the future until you let go of the past.”

It’s time to stop compromising aesthetics for performance and forget all those outdated assumptions about size, SPL and fidelity. Our e-Class systems are engineered to reset performance benchmarks by delivering audiophile-quality at pro-AV sound pressure levels from compact, architecturally pleasing and network compatible systems.

We’ve spent the last five years reimagining touring and corporate audio with our paradigm-shifting al-Class line arrays and h-Class HD systems. Now we’re bringing this same disruptive focus to distributed audio with a family of fully networkable, ultra-high-definition audio solutions for discerning system integrators.

Born from a true “clean sheet” development strategy that was entirely unburdened by legacy product lines or readily available hi-fi components, e-Class draws from today’s most advanced transducer, DSP and networking technologies to unleash 4K audio in virtually any environment with “plug-n’-play” ease. e-Class is an arena full of audio technology in the palm of your hand.

Designed for Today’s Applications
not a warmed over version of a 1968 Concept. . .

You can’t engineer the future until you let go of the past. We began e-Class development by wiping the slate completely clean. No legacy product lines to protect, or cheap hi-fi parts-bins to rob. Instead, we started with the same state-of-the-art transducer technology that has made our al-Class systems a disruptive force in professional touring circles.

Like their larger siblings, e-Class benefits from our most advanced technologies, including beryllium high-frequency components, purpose-engineered cone frequency drivers with oversized voice coils and powerful neodymium circuits, as well as precision crossover networks that work hand-in-hand with the “HAL-like” DSP inside our VUEDrive systems engines. We pack all this “sciency” stuff inside durable, die-cast aluminum enclosures that are equal parts rigid, sexy and functional.

The e-Class subwoofer is equally impressive, thanks to our patent-pending Active Compliance Management (ACM) technology, which enables extended response and sound pressure levels equal to or greater than larger systems that rely on more conventional vented designs.

Pulling it all together is the VUEDrive V242 Systems Engine, which empowers e-Class systems with Dante networking, sophisticated DSP and full network remote control via SystemVUE software on iOS, Mac OS, and Windows.

Stop compromising and free your creativity.

e-352 Uber-Definition System

The e-351 speaker brings high-output and high fidelity down to size like never before. The low diffraction baffle and grill assembly frame the e-352’s crown jewel—a uniquely capable, 25-mm Truextent™ beryllium dome tweeter with powerful neodymium magnet assembly that delivers low distortion and extended high-frequency response to above 29k Hz. The aluminum baffle features an integrated high-frequency waveguide and a pair of V-shaped bumpers that protect the tweeter while eliminating the diffractions associated with traditional speaker grilles.

The beryllium tweeter is flanked by a pair of 3.5-inch cone transducers that were custom-engineered specifically for use in the e-352 Nano. The transducers achieve exceptionally high output and maximum efficiency by combining a powerful Neodymium magnet structure with high-temperature voice coils that are physically optimized for maximum heat dissipation and “cool running” regardless of demand.

All three drivers are housed in a compact and elegant die-cast aluminum enclosure that is significantly more rigid and resonant free than plastic enclosures. The aluminum enclosure is also corrosion and moisture resistant. A passive crossover network is optimized to work hand-in-hand with the specialized DSP inside the V242 Systems Engine, which also provides optimal power, Dante networking, and full transducer protection for up to eight e-352s across four zones.

Speaking of crossovers, with the e-352 and it’s a smaller e-351 sibling, we opted to avoid the common and misguided mistake made by many designers who choose to challenge the laws of physics by setting the high-pass filter too low. Rather than rolling off at 70-80 Hz like most compact systems available today, the e-352 rolls off at 100 Hz. We’ll let our subs handle the low end, thank you, and keep the MF and HF drivers focused on what they do best.

With its unique combination of transducers, cabinet materials, and DSP, as well as our “do what you do best” crossover philosophy, the e-352 is able to deliver reference quality flat response from 100 Hz to well above what the most discerning human ears can hear, while easily producing 108 dB SPL sustained, with an additional 20 dB crest factor at one meter. All this is available from an enclosure measuring just 4.4” x 11” x 5.5” (W x H x D).

The standard e-352 is available in both black and white for surface mount applications with provided flexible mounting assembly.

e-351 Uber-Compact Nano System

By pushing well beyond commonly accepted size-to-performance thresholds, the e-352 claims the “Nano” category as a new benchmark in size and performance while standing as the pinnacle example of the e-Class ideal. With resonant free operation from 110 Hz to well above 30k Hz, the e-351 delivers pristine sound quality at pro-AV output levels far beyond that of more traditional systems twice its physical size.

Inside the e-351’s ultra-rigid aluminum enclosure is a revolutionary 3.5-inch co-axial driver that achieves exceptionally high output by combining a powerful Neodymium magnetic circuit for efficiency, with a high-temperature voice coil for maximum heat dispersion. The coil and magnet are precisely aligned and coupled to the aluminum enclosure for additional cooling. Coaxially mounted through the pole piece of the 3.5-inch driver is a unique 25-mm beryllium compression tweeter with Neodymium magnetic assembly for low-distortion, extended high-frequency response. A passive crossover network is optimized to work hand-in-hand with the specialized DSP inside the V242 Systems Engine, which also provides optimal power and full transducer protection for up to sixteen e-351s across four zones.

The e-351’s die-cast aluminum enclosure provides considerable rigidity for resonance-free operation as compared to plastic enclosures. The aluminum baffle features an integrated high-frequency waveguide and very low diffraction to ensure the full high-frequency clarity of the beryllium high-frequency driver is not compromised.

Thanks to our unique combination of transducers, cabinet materials, and DSP, along with our “do what you do best” crossover philosophy, the e-351 delivers unprecedented audio quality with resonant free operation from 110 Hz to well above 27k Hz, while achieving sustained average sound pressure output above 103 dB SPL, with maximum peaks up to 118 dB SPL at one meter. All this is available from an enclosure measuring just 4.4” x 4.7” x 5.5”.

The standard e-351 Nano is available in both black and white for surface mount applications with the provided flexible mounting assembly.

V242 VUEDrive Systems Engine
