Bernie’s Beach Bar encompasses the first two aspects perfectly by being located on a city block’s worth of boardwalk space on Hampton Beach and serving patrons its famous Bernie’s Rum Runner. When Bernie’s Beach Bar tasked RPM Dynamics with the unique mission of permanently installing a touring system that would give the patrons a superb sonic experience, they chose VUE’s al-8 Line Array System.
Harkening back to an era of dramatic social and political change, The SunnyBrook Ballroom is a storied music venue and dance hall rooted in the Roaring Twenties and is one of the few dance halls built in the pre-World War II era that is still in use. Gatsby’s Restaurant, Bar & Lounge is part of the historic facility located in Pottstown, PA, combining a unique menu with craft cocktails and live entertainment. Recently the existing sound system was replaced with i-Class Superior Integrator Systems loudspeakers from VUE Audiotechnik, installed by Sonic Sound.
Ride Delray Indoor Cycling Studio is an upscale, low-attitude cycling and fitness studio featuring instructors specifically trained in Stages Power metered bikes. As part of a recent renovation, the facility installed new lighting, video and an audio system centered on i-Class loudspeakers from VUE Audiotechnik. A total of 14 VUE i-2×4.5 and two is-26a powered subwoofers were used for the installation. The system was spec’d to look sexy and have a small profile because the ceilings are very low (less than 10 feet). There’s a speaker focused on every two bikes.
Established in March 1954, the Orange Ex-Services’ Club (OESC) is a premier club destination for residents of Orange and New South Wales, supporting local community projects, offering affordable sporting activities to residents and providing numerous forms of musical entertainment. When OESC refurbished its Coral Sea Room, an old PA system was removed and replaced with VUE Audiotechnik al-4 Subcompact Line Array Systems paired with an as-215 Dual 15-inch Vented Subwoofer and a V4 Systems Engine. The system was installed by Colton Computer Technologies (CCT), IT consultants that design and deploy specialty systems.
Established in 1954, The United Methodist Church of Vista (UMC Vista) has been committed to serving its community through spoken word, classic and contemporary worship services, and a music program that includes a chancel choir, praise band, hand bell choir and a developing children’s music ministry. When UMC Vista recently decided to improve the sound system in its sanctuary, they called on Sound Image to facilitate the installation of a new audio system built around VUE Audiotechnik loudspeaker systems.
Built in 1971, the John Lance Arena at Pittsburgh State University (PSU) in Kentucky is home to the Pitt State Gorillas basketball team. The University recently received significant contributions, led by Alan and Roberta Whetzel, for renovations to the 6,500-seat capacity arena. Designing and implementing commercial audio systems for venues ranging from hair salons, to tattoo parlors, and restaurants is a challenge embraced by Dublin, Ireland’s Sounds Good Ltd. They became the first dealer for VUE throughout Ireland approximately one year ago. The resulting partnership has yielded several interesting installs.
Boasting an incredible 60-year history of sports and entertainment, Bojangles’ Coliseum has played host to events ranging from Led Zeppelin to Sesame Street, Rev. Billy Graham to Ray Charles, and Les Misérables to the AHL’s Charlotte Checkers. The city of Charlotte, NC, approved a $16 million budget for renovation of the venue, including new seats, updated concession stands and club areas, a new scoreboard and video display and, of course, a new sound system comprised exclusively of VUE Audiotechnik’s al-Class loudspeakers.
