Ken Berger – CEO:

As co-founder and CEO of Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW), Ken grew EAW into a major industry powerhouse by listening attentively to customer feedback and assembling a responsive business model, more agile and effective than the larger, slow-moving competition. Ken’s dedication to thinking differently enabled EAW to grow to over $50M in revenue before Mackie Designs acquired the company in 2000. As CEO of Pro Sound Web, Ken went on to apply a similar commitment to community engagement, growing PSW into one of the most active and dedicated user communities for professional live sound and recording enthusiasts online today. Ken has also held executive positions at LOUD Technologies, SIA Software, N-Tune and Music Sciences.

As a member of the founding management team at Apogee Sound, Jim contributed to Apogee’s quick rise from start-up to an international multi-million dollar powerhouse with subsidiaries in Japan and Germany. Jim also founded the US subsidiary of NEXO SA (France), helping to establish NEXO as a highly respected and successful brand in the Americas in just three years. Most recently before joining VUE Jim spent 2005 until 2010 in Europe as MD / CEO of Meyer Sound Labs GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Meyer Sound, Inc., where he led the company to unparalleled growth and market share. He left Meyer Sound back in February to start VUE Audiotechnik. Neither Jim nor VUE are affiliated, in any way, with Meyer SoundLaboratories.

 

Michael Adams – Design Chief:

A skilled engineer whose design talents balance science with a practical, real-world approach honed from nearly four decades as a FOH/Monitor engineer (Jimmy Buffett, Jackson Browne, Emmylou Harris) and system designer for one of America’s top touring and installation sound companies. Michael was also co-founder of Audio Composite Engineering (ACE), playing key roles in the development of some of the most successful loudspeaker systems in use today, including the JBL Vertec series and QSC’s Wideline series.

 

Sara Elliott  VP of Operations:

With more than 20 years of experience in professional audio, Sara has held strategic marketing and operational positions with numerous sound production companies including Burns Audio, A-1 Audio, and PRG. Sara also served as Director of Marketing and Sales for Live Sound International Magazine and ProSoundweb.com, two of the industry’s most respected news and technical information sources. Sara brings to VUE Audiotechnik a wealth of industry relationships and a deep understanding of business operations.

 

Holger de Buhr  Managing Director, VUE Europe

Holger has worked in the professional audio business since the mid 1980s, most recently as co-founder and CEO if respected distributor Media Logic (2006-2014). Prior to that Holger founded and was CEO of Just Studio, part of the well-known retailer Just Music Group. Throughout the 1990’s Holger worked for Audio Sonic GmbH, where he was responsible for regional distribution of the d&b brand, permanent installation and project business, as well as worldwide service for Neumann Broadcast consoles. In the late 1990’s, parallel with his time at Audio Sonic, Holger also taught live sound technique to Tonmeister students at Berlin University of Arts. Holger has a deep appreciation for all music but holds a special place for classical guitar, which he has studied since the age of 9.

 

Kyle Ritland  Director of Marketing Communications:

Kyle brings to VUE more than 15 years of marketing communications and public relations experience. Prior to joining VUE, Kyle managed artist relations and public relations teams for Avid Technology. Kyle also served as the director of public relations for LOUD Technologies, where he was responsible for the complete LOUD portfolio including Alvarez guitars, Ampeg, Crate, EAW, Mackie, and TAPCO lines. In addition Kyle has held strategic marketing positions at MCA Concerts, Carver Corporation, and Digital Harmony.

 

Jeff Taylor  North American Sales Management:

A true pro audio enthusiast who spends much of his personal time running live sound near his home in Vancouver, Washington, Jeff Taylor brings to VUE more than 15 years of experience along with a deep personal passion for all things audio. Jeff has held strategic business development and sales positions at some of the most respected companies in professional audio. Key roles include Mackie, RCF, BIAMP Systems, and the pro audio brands of Telex Communications including Electro-Voice, Midas and Dynacord.
